Together with the Bank Council and the Executive Board, Branders has developed the brand’s positioning and rejuvenated its brand image at all contact points.

At the heart of the brand personality stands the partnership concept “My sparring partner”. The bank prides itself on competently advising and supporting its clients in all of life’s stages, operating with a combination of passion and foresight. Its approach is not simply to endorse, but also to challenge, inspire and motivate. Just as an ideal partner would.

The brand identity typically consists of black-and-white images highlighted by colorful illustrations. Consistent application of this fundamental brand concept shapes the entire presence, while creating a unique media personality. The images feature people in their everyday environment and are enhanced by illustrations symbolizing the added value generated through the partnership, creating a lively link to the client’s aims and dreams.

Since its introduction, the brand specific concept has been implemented in a variety of ways by both the bank and its partners. Particularly in our digital world, the flexibility and the modern simplicity of this brand image permits a diversity of approaches.

A picture is worth a thousand words: The brand identity’s communicative energy functions equally well with moving images. The colorful illustrations deploy their full potential as story-telling elements from the main website to the digital info screens located in the individual branches.

In classic print media, the brand’s elements of photography and illustration successfully catch the eye through combinations of colors and fonts to create differentiated images.

When entering a branch office, a horizon opens up, releasing the viewer’s gaze into the Baselbiet. Black and white pictures are portraying the canton. Warm colors and sustainable, natural materials underscore the bank's standards of competence in a casual atmosphere.

The renovation of the branch offices started in 2017 with the customer zone at the headquarters in Liestal based on the design concept developed in collaboration with MACH Architektur.
